We are looking to strengthen our sales team with a German-speaking Sales Manager to our office in Stockholm

As a Sales Manager at IDEAL OF SWEDEN, your primary focus will be to expand our most strategic and largest accounts within the DACH and BENELUX regions. You will achieve this by building strong relationships with customers, finding new customers, and developing and executing plans for account development, including up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.

The position is based in Stockholm and travel may occur 30-50 days/year. You will report to our Global Sales Director.


  • Strategic Account Planning: Create and execute tailored plans to manage key accounts, aligning client objectives with our company goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with key clients, serving as their primary contact and trusted advisor to ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Growth and Outbound Initiatives: Drive revenue by initiating outbound sales activities, using cold calling, networking, and targeted campaigns to engage new clients and expand the customer base.
  • New Business Development: Generate leads and pursue new account opportunities with a strategic approach to attract businesses aligned with our products and market positioning.
  • Deal Negotiation and Closing: Use strong negotiation skills to close deals, overcome objections, and manage last-minute hurdles to secure profitable agreements.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to maximize revenue while ensuring profitability and compliance with company policies.
  • Customer Support and Problem Resolution: Address client inquiries and issues promptly, ensuring resolution in a manner that maintains trust and prevents churn.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, market demands, and competitor strategies to position our company advantageously and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration Across Departments: Partner with marketing, sales, product development, and customer service to ensure a unified approach to client management and leverage collective resources.
  • Reporting and Performance Metrics: Track and report on sales targets, client health, and relationships. Analyze performance metrics to make data-driven decisions and boost account profitability.
  • Financial Management and Forecasting: Oversee financial aspects of key accounts, including budgeting, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis. Develop forecasts that reflect both current sales trends and potential new business opportunities.


  • Proficiency in German language (written and spoken) is required, along with fluency in English. Swedish is a plus
  • Proven track record in key account management, sales and/or business development, preferably in the DACH market and BENELUX, delivering on exceeding targets
  • Deep understanding of sales processes and dynamics, with the ability to drive sales growth
  • Being focused on achieving sales targets and driving business success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients at all levels, setting high standards and continually looking for ways to improve performance
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to act in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines on time & budget
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ambition, drive and can do attitude
  • Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Asana) and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite. We also work with Business Central, Qlik and Centra
