About the Role
As the Operations Director, you will have overall responsibility for the production and product delivery, from setting up supply chain, receiving customer orders to delivering of products. You will manage Sivers Wireless production setup and execution with the help of a supply chain team involving production planning, purchasing, inventory, order status follow-up, and logistics. Your role will also involve strategic sourcing of both chips and modules, including leading RFI and RFQ processes, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating agreements. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Finance, Sales, R&D, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless operations and support the company’s strategic goals. The role is based at our office in Kista and involves international travel a few times per year.
Key Responsibilities with help from the supply chain team:
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier evaluation and price negotiation.
- Oversee day-to-day supply chain operations and support long-term activities.
- Plan production to meet sales forecasts and company budgets.
- Handle shipping and provide relevant documentation to customers and partners.
- Maintain production schedules and communicate with manufacturing partners.
- Develop and improve processes related to supply, order administration, and logistics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and support data gathering for key supply KPIs.
- Track stock volumes and values, support audits, and manage budgets.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with a strong character, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage vendors, subcontractors and customers firmly and effectively. You should be structured, driven, and capable of understanding the business and creating favorable conditions with suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management and strategic sourcing in a related industry.
- Understanding of semiconductor industry operations.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing suppliers and customers.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Technical university education is mandatory, with specialization in Electrical Engineering or allied fields being preferred.
